After returning from the Navy, the founder of the family business, Don Carter, began a painting business in Riverdale, Georgia.  With a family of 7 (eventually becoming 9), he worked long hours to to provide for his family.  As the business grew, his brother, the late Jim Carter, joined Don and named the business C&C Repair.   They expanded into making repairs for both residences and businesses. As a result of their quality workmanship and dedication to customer satisfaction in a timely manner, they changed the name to Quality Home Improvements.

Jonathan Carter began working with his father, Don Carter, in the summers at the age of 16 and has remained full time with the family business since graduating high school in 1993. While working with his father, Jonathan and his wife, Kelly, obtained their real estate licenses.  In 2005, JLC Properties, Inc. was established to buy and sell real estate.  Resources and knowledge from the family business enabled them to complete quality renovations on distressed properties.  When Don Carter retired in 2022, Jonathan and his brother, Keith, began to envision another service they could offer to the community.  Carter’s Sunrooms and Exteriors was added to JLC Properties, Inc as a way to honor their father and continue the legacy of quality service to the community.

With an office and showroom in Hampton near the Atlanta Motor Speedway, customers are able to see the quality of the products we offer in person.  Our products are only as good as our ability to professionally install them and stand behind them.  We are proud to offer sunrooms, patio covers, and pergolas that you will only have to build once! Our sunrooms are built to withstand all weather conditions, including hurricanes!  They include innovative features that make them virtually maintenance free.
